Mohegan Sun Bids for New York Racing

Mohegan Sun, which operates one of the world’s most successful casinos in Connecticut, has formed a partnership with one of the bidders hoping to run thoroughbred racing in New York. Universal Pictures has acquired the screen rights to ???Gone Like the Wind,??? an article written about the 2006 Kentucky Derby (gr. I) winner, Barbaro, by Buzz Bissinger. The story appears in the August issue of Vanity Fair magazine.

Norsk Risktoto and Fintoto added by International Federation of Horseracing Authorities

International Federation of Horseracing Authorities has added Norsk Risktoto and Fintoto, the Norwegian and Finnish tote operators, to its Racing Trust Mark scheme and international horse racing commingling pool.
The scheme labels tote operators as authorised to offer horse bets in the countries where they are active. Swedish tote operator ATG joined in 2006.
