Breeders’ Cup Challenge: Cougar II Handicap at Del Mar July 30

A field of 7 race horses will run in the $150,000 Cougar II Handicap at 1 1/2 miles for 3-year-olds and up at Del Mar on July 30.

The Cougar II Handicap is newly added to the 2008 Breeders’ Cup Challenge “Win & You’re In” series of horse races where the Cougar II Handicap winner will automatically be one of the Breeders’ Cup horses allowed to race in the new Breeders’ Cup Dirt Marathon on October 25 at Santa Anita Park.Online Horse Betting

Del Mar’s Cougar II Handicap field of horses with jockeys, weight and morning line odds in post position order:

  1. Fado under by jockey Joel Rosario carries 114 lbs. with morning line odds of 7-2
  2. Harlene under by jockey Michael Baze, 107 lbs., 20-1
  3. Tissy Fit under by jockey Tyler Baze, 114 lbs., 4-1
  4. Trevor’s Clever under by jockey Joseph Talamo, 110 lbs., 8-1
  5. Zappa under by jockey Garrett Gomez, 117 lbs., 6-1
