The 2008 Breeders’ Cup will feature an all-female race card on Breeders’ Cup Day October 24 highlighted by the Breeders’ Cup Ladies’ Classic, previously called the Breeders’ Cup Distaff, where filly Zenyatta was made the 3-5 favorite.

Four-year-old filly Zenyatta has won all 8 of her races. If Curlin doesn’t win in the 2008 Breeders’ Cup Classic and Zenyatta stays unbeaten against defending champion Ginger Punch (9-2) and last year’s runner-up Hystericalady (15-1), she could be the rare filly to have a shot at Horse of the Year.
