She Be Wild charged along the rail to win the $2-million Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies by three-quarters of a length.
Ridden by jockey Julien Leparoux, She Be Wild covered 1 1/16 miles in 1:43.80 Friday at Santa Anita and paid $16.80, $9 and $5. At 7-1 odds, She Be Wild pulled off the third consecutive upset on the first day of the Breeders’ Cup.
Beautician returned $9.40 and $6, while Blind Luck was another head back in third and paid $3 to show as the 7-2 wagering favorite.

She Be Wild improved her horse racing record to 4 for 5 on synthetic surfaces.
The Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies was race hrose trainer Wayne Catalano’s second career Breeders’ Cup victory, and the third for jockey Julien Leparoux.
Biofuel, owned by former Kentucky governor Brereton Jones, finished fourth in the 2009 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies field followed by Always a Princess, Negligee, Zilva, Connie and Michael, Ms Vanenzza, Bickersons, Devil May Care and Champagne d’Oro.
