Calder’s Florida Million Stakes Races & Music Festival

Calder Race TrackThe annual Florida Million horse racing will be held at Calder Race Track on Saturday, Nov. 11, featuring eight stakes races with over $1 million on the line for registered Florida-breds.

The day also features the Florida Fair, a free and fun educational event celebrating ???all things Florida,??? showcasing native wildlife, including a rare Florida panther; a ???rainforest??? jungle aviary with parrots; and animal shows with real reptiles, including alligators!

Plus, there???s entertainment with a Florida feel ??? live salsa, calypso, folk music, and jazz.

The Florida Million stakes races:

Then on Sunday, Nov. 12, it’s the South Florida Jazz & Heritage Festival. The lineup includes: Ira Sullivan Quintet and special guests; Oriente - Afro-Cuban fusion; Way of the Groove, featuring the Pastorius Brothers; Krossover, featuring Leon Foster Thomas on the steel pans; Nicole Yarling; and the Funky Dixieland All-Stars.

Plus, there???s Family Day fun - adults get in free when they bring the kids on this day for pony rides, petting zoo and other kid’s activities, inlcuding the Junior Jockey Club program and more.
