Hollywood Park Granted 2010 Horse Racing Dates
Posted on Tuesday, October 20th, 2009
Horse racing will return at Hollywood Park in 2010.
There had been questions about Hollywood Park’s future since the Inglewood City Council in July approved a $2 billion retail and residential development on the site where there has been horse racing since 1938.
The California Horse Racing Board set the annual spring-summer meeting for April 21 through July 18. The fall meeting runs November 3 through December 19. The decision came at the board’s regular meeting in Coalinga, California.
The Hollywood Park track will open this year’s 27-day fall meeting on November 13. It will be 13 days shorter than last year, with 4 stakes races dropped.
