Horse Racing Fans Asked To Vote For Top 25 Breeders’ Cup Moments

For 24 years, the Breeders’ Cup World Championships have given thoroughbred racing some of its greatest moments. This year, the Breeders’ Cup is celebrating its 25th running and they want horse racing fans to decide which moments from those historic races are the greatest off all-time.

The Breeders’ Cup moments you can choose from:

1. 1984 Breeders’ Cup Classic: Wild Again prevails over Slew o’ Gold and Gate Dancer.
2. 1984 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile: Chief’s Crown wins first Breeders’ Cup race.
3. 1985 Breeders’ Cup Turf: Pebbles defeats a stellar field of male rivals.
4. 1985 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile: Storm Cat nipped at wire by Tasso.
5. 1986 Breeders’ Cup Distaff: Lady’s Secret leads all the way in a Horse of the Year performance.

The votes of horse racing fans will help determine the top 25 moments, which will be included in a Breeders’ Cup commemorative DVD that will go on sale in October.

The Breeders’ Cup World Championships consists of a series of 14 races with purses of $25.5 million. The 2008 Breeders’ Cup will be held from October 24-25 at Santa Anita Park.
