The Pamplemousse is the 9-5 favorite among 10 hopeful Kentucky Derby contenders in Saturday’s 72nd running of the $750,000 Santa Anita Derby (G1) April 4 at Santa Anita Park.
The 2009 Santa Anita Derby at 1 1/8 miles is one of the major prep races for the 2009 Kentucky Derby. All carrying 122 pounds, the Santa Anita Derby entries with jockeys and morning line odds in post position order:

- Unbridled Roman under jockey Tyler Baze, 30-1
