Posted on Thursday, June 18th, 2009
The Breeders’ Cup and Oak Tree Racing Association announced that General Admission tickets will be $10 on both days for the 2009 Breeders’ Cup World Championships November 6-7 at Santa Anita Park.
Breeders’ Cup ticket prices were reduced across the board and will offer single and two-day options throughout the facility. Reserved grandstand ticket prices range from $40-$235 on Championship Friday and from $55-$335 on Championship Saturday.
Further examples of 2009 price reductions include:
- Horse racing fans will now be able to get a seat on Breeders’ Cup day Friday for as little as $40 compared to $200 in 2008.
- Horse racing fans will now be able to get a seat on Breeders’ Cup day Saturday for as little as $55 compared to $200 in 2008.
- Single Day prices for premium seating are reduced by 30%.
“We believe that setting the General Admission price at $10 for 2009 is another step in our efforts to ensure that sports fans in Southern California can experience our World Championships in person at a very reasonable cost,” said Peter Land, Breeders’ Cup Chief Marketing Officer.
“Oak Tree and the Breeders’ Cup believe that this year, more than ever, the two days of world championship racing should be affordable and accessible to all,” said Sherwood Chillingworth, Executive Vice President of the Oak Tree Racing Association. “Ten dollars for a day at the Breeders’ Cup at beautiful Santa Anita is one of the all-time great values in American sports.”
Breeders’ Cup tickets are available online or by calling 1-877-TIX-4CUP.
