Breeders’ Cup Results & Payouts: Furthest Land Wins The Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile at Santa Anita Park

The 21-1 longshot Furthest Land has pulled off a stunning upset in Saturday’s $1-million Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile, defeating Ready’s Echo by 3/4 of a length at Santa Anita November 7.
Ridden by jockey Julien Leparoux and trained by Michael Maker, Furthest Land ran the mile in 1:35.50 and paid $44.60, $18.40 and $9.60. Ready’s Echo returned $18.20 and $9.40, while Midshipman paid $4.20 to show.
