Royal Ascot Racing To Air in the US

The TVG network inked a deal with At The Races in the United Kingdom to air live racing from the prestigious Royal Ascot race meeting, which runs June 19 through June 23, for US viewers. The partnership also allows racing fans in the United States to wager on every race for the first time.
???We are thrilled to bring this premier international event to U.S. viewers for the first time in our history,??? said Tony Allevato, TVG senior vice president and executive producer.
First post each day of the five-day meeting is 9:30 a.m. ET. TVG will air exclusive live coverage of every race during the Royal Ascot meeting. Commingled wagering on all Royal Ascot races will be available to TVG account holders.
Royal Ascot runs more group races than any other race meeting in the United Kingdom. Six group I races are scheduled for the five day meet.
The $700,000 Prince of Wales???s Stakes (Eng-IT), a 1 ?? mile race for 4-year-olds and up, will be contested June 20. The $700,000 Golden Jubilee Stakes (Eng-IT), a six-furlong event for 3-year-olds and up, is scheduled for June 23.
The Royal Ascot meeting traces its origins to 1711 and is an internationally renowned sporting and social occasion. Royal Ascot attracts more than 300,000 race-goers to the Royal County of Berkshire in Southern England each year.
