Hollywood Park Pick 6 $3.3M carryover

Posted on Monday, July 2nd, 2007

Don’t bet on horse racing at Hollywood Park? Will a $3.3M Pick 6 carryover make you place a $1 horse wager on Monday? Apparently this is the highest carryover in Hollywood Park racetrack history. The Pick 6 horse bet is easy (ugh) the bettor only has to choose the winning horse in 6 consecutive horse races. See, it’s easy! The bettor can also make combinations of horses per race, he can bet on more than one horse per race – but of course – that also makes his Pick 6 horse betting ticket a lot more expensive!

Horse racing bettors failed to solve the tricky wager for the fourth consecutive day on Sunday, a program that begin with a pick six carryover of more than $1.4 million. Bettors added $3.4 million on Sunday, but no one had all six winners, even though there were two winning favorites. (DRF)

Can that Pick6 horse racing jackpot be “bought”? Especially with the short fields at Hollywood Park!

The $3.3million Hollywood Park Pick 6 is on Races 3 to 8.

Cmon guys, good luck! Hitting this Pick 6 is like hitting the lottery – but I suppose 10X easier or should I say, 10X better odds? click here for Hollywood Park picks and tips to win this Pick 6

13 hit record pick six for $576,000
    By STEVE ANDERSEN (DRF)

INGLEWOOD, Calif. – Monday???s pick six at Hollywood Park, which attracted more money than any pick six in North American history, paid $576,040 to 13 ticketholders. Bettors added $7,596,347 to the pool on Monday following a record four-day carryover of $3,274,505.

The total pool of $10,870,752.48 broke the North American record for a pick six pool of $7,303,848, set on March 3, 2004, at Santa Anita.

The winners of Monday???s pick six races were Skipaslew ($4.20), Pressthepace ($11.20), Outlaw Jones ($13.80), Lt. Lorraine ($6.80), Desire to Excel ($13.20) and Extreme Notice ($39.80).

Skipaslew and Lt. Lorraine were the only winning favorites.

Going into the last race, there would have been a carryover of $7,488,839 if 73-1 Uncle Bucky had pulled an upset. He finished last in a field of 14, and was eased. Had the 25-1 outsider Warren???s Ruler won the race, there would have been one winning ticket. Warren???s Ruler finished sixth.

Prior to Monday, the pick six had not been hit since June 27.
