Street Sense favorite in Kentucky Derby Future Wager Book 3

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Kentucky Derby 2007′s third and final Future Wager has been set with 24 horse betting interests. Breeders’ Cup Juvenile winner Street Sense is the 5-1 favorite with Wood Memorial champ Nobiz Like Shobiz at 6-1.This is the last weekend with any major 2007 Kentucky Derby prep races. On Saturday both the Blue Grass Stakes and Arkansas Derby are on tap.

The future pool wagering opens at noon (et) Thursday through Sunday at 6 p.m. (et). There is only win betting on the 24 interests.

Louisiana Derby winner Circular Quay, who will train to the Run for the Roses, is the third choice at 8-1 along with Florida Derby victor Scat Daddy. Great Hunter, who is scheduled to run in the Blue Grass, is 10-1 in the morning line.

Illinois Derby winner Cowtown Cat is 15-1, Hard Spun, winner of the Lane’s End Stakes, is 12-1 and Santa Anita Derby winner Tiago is 15-1 in his first appearance in the future pool.

The mutuel field, which usually is the favorite, is 20-1 in the morning line. A bet on the mutuel field includes all three-year-olds not listed individually.
